During 24th-25th June,2015, the Pre-School cluster of Rajanukul Institute held a training of using “Thai Early Developmental Assessment for Intervention(TEDA4I)”as a tool for helping Preschool Children with developmental problems: A Workshop for Empowering Core Speakers (Main Teachers) Batch 1 at Montien Hotel Bangkok. There will be 3 batches in this training; the second batch workshop will be held during 30th June-1st July, and the third one will be run during 7th-8th July,2015. On Friday 9th January,2015 during 8.00-14.00,Rajanukul Institute held the 2015 National Children Day Celebration to give our special children a gift. In the morning, there were games according to the children age such as “kids come to moms”, “Superman running”, “Fun chairs”, and “100 legs together”. At 9.00 am, Dr.Panpimol Vipulakorn, Deputy Director of Department of Mental Health, gave an honor to be the chairman to open the children’s day celebration. On Sunday 26 October,2014 at 10.00 am, Dr.Amporn Benjaponpitak, the director of Rajanukul Institute delivered a speech at the art exhibition “The Wind Blows from Shigaraki” which was held by the help in cooperation with the associations for people with intellectual disabilities from Thailand, Japan ,and Taiwan.The event provided an exhibition to show painting and other art works from of people with intellectual disabilities who come from three countries. On February 26th and 27th, 2015, the Nursing Dept. of Rajanukul Institute, hold the training on Psychiatric Emergencies Patient Care at Palanamai meeting room which composed of two batches of the trainee. It is known that some of children with intellectual disability also have multiple physical disabilities and show aggressive behaviors, lack of self control which is danger and harmful to themselves and others. It is therefore necessary that the care takers have knowledge and skills to deal in the psychiatric emergencies situations properly and safely. This training was honored by Mr.Pairoj Sookgerd and his team from Galya Rajanagarindra Institute to be lecturers and demonstrators .
